If there is any stat you should care about as a writer, it is your read ratio. Your main priority is to keep your reader engaged throughout your whole article. So, in this short article, I hope to highlight two ways I have been able to do this in my writing career.

1. See Each Article as a Unique Contribution

We will never be able to produce an original piece of work, but we can be unique. The only way we can ensure that our perspective is fresh to our readers is by carrying out research before starting to write our article.

Do this by doing a keyword search and reading some articles similar to the ones you are planning to write. Identify what they missed and some of the ideas you would like to criticise. Then, write the article.

By doing this, you show your writer that you are well-read on the topic and are contributing something new to the overall discussion.

2. Highlight the Discoveries

The points that you want your reader to take away should not just be bullet points or one-line sentences. Your reader wants to be given value, but they also want to feel the value being added to their lives.
