Be Anxious For Nothing

I daydreamed a lot today after work. Mainly thinking about what life might look like in 10 years.

I have been putting a lot of time & effort into my writing. I have also been developing myself as a person, continuously reading and trying to be the best version of myself.

However, with that comes sacrifices. Being really strict with my time and disciplining myself to complete tasks is part of my normal day. I sometimes think how long I can actually keep this up for. 10 years from now will I still be doing the same thing? Or will some of my hard work finally pay off?

It’s nice to think of the future, but it often makes me anxious and somewhat hopeful.

After reading an article on Medium titled, “Don’t give up” I realised that it is about taking one step at a time. It is about learning to be anxious for nothing, and instead, appreciating the moment we have in the present.

10 years from now I hope to be impacting millions, but if not, so be it. The present moment is all I have to make an impact. So it is what I do today that I should be anxious about, not tomorrow.

Do not be anxious for the future, for the past has already gone, the present becomes the past at an instant, and the future is now.
