Dealing With Burnout the Right Way
The majority of individuals who work a 9–5 would have experienced burnout. According to recent figures, 79% of workers have felt burnt out after work. Due to this, people go home tired and hardly have the energy to spend quality time with their families.
By paying attention to our emotional responses to burnout, we can be led to the solutions we need to recover from it. In this short, I will share how you can deal with burnout the right way.
Emotional Exhaustion
This occurs when the positive emotions we had at the start of the activity fade away. As a result, our emotional energy becomes depleted, and we lose the desire to work. And this leads to burnout.
If your response to burnout is emotional exhaustion, you should pay close attention to what has changed in your activity. By doing so, you can create an action plan to bring those things back into your activity so that you are more engaged.
Depersonalisation
Another emotive response we have to burnout is the development of negative and cynical views towards our clients. These clients do not just need to be your customer. They may be anyone you serve in your company.
