Do You Rather Work From Home?

Working from home has been the reality for many of us throughout the pandemic. And it continues to be the norm for many employees today. Today, we are seeing many workers take a liking to it, with some refusing to readjust to office work.

After all, working from home gives us flexibility whilst allowing us to be comfortable. However, there are implications to working from home that should be considered.

Collaboration Is More Than Talking to Each Other

You would like to think that the use of the digital tools around us would help us overcome collaboration problems. Thanks to video calls and collaborative tools, we can communicate with each other without needing to be physically together.

However, collaboration goes beyond talking to one another. It is more complex than what we say. In fact, studies show that collaboration is more about our environment, culture and how we communicate rather than what we communicate. And as a result, collaboration is often hindered when working from our bedroom or kitchen table.

The Wider Implications of Homeworking

The pandemic showed us that the whole economy is dependent on people leaving their homes. People travelling to go on holidays…
