Following on from my blog post on “ how leaders must inspire “, it would be great to tackle leadership in our own lives with this same principle of pragmatic idealism.

Our predicament is that we struggle to understand what fulfilment is. Nevertheless, how we go about defining fulfilment, leads to our constant pursuit of success. Seeing the world through the lenses of fulfilment changes our perspective on many things. So understanding fulfilment is the key to forming the idealistic goal for our life.

Fulfilment vs Satisfaction

Many of us confuse these two in our lives, but it is important to acknowledge that one is an ideal view and the other is not. Fulfilment is something an idealist would preach, whereas satisfaction is the pragmatic view. The best way to understand the difference between these two is through your regular plate of dinner.

Life satisfaction is something we experience daily, if we did not, we would probably think of ending our lives. It is the driving force behind our waking up and deciding to live. The plate of food you consume today will hopefully satisfy you. This is because that plate of food…
