How I Became a Better Writer

It has been a year since I started taking writing seriously, and my growth has been slow and steady. At the beginning of my writing career, I did not believe in myself and struggled to put two sentences together.

Recently, I realised that my thoughts about my writing were still quite negative. However, by becoming better connected with my thoughts, I became a better writer. Here are two reasons why learning to listen to that still small voice in your head will make you a better writer.

1. Your Thoughts Fuel the Way You Communicate

Our thoughts do indeed govern our actions. And our actions on a day-to-day basis are what help us communicate. In fact, much of our communication comes from our body language.

However, writers do not have the opportunity to engage others through body language. All we have is our thoughts, and our readers want to see our thoughts laid out on the page.

Without learning to listen to yourself more clearly, you will find that your thoughts will be hard to put together. Therefore, I suggest listening to the thoughts you have every day. Learn to pay close attention to them and communicate with them well.
