How I Stopped Worrying About My Earnings
It can be hard to not worry about your earnings as a writer. We can often forget about the progress we are making in other areas of our life when our writing is underperforming.
In this short, I will highlight how I was able to overcome my worry of never being able to earn enough from my writing.
Money Is a Great Motivator but a Bad Companion
If we make money our goal, we will find ourselves losing interest in the writing process. When I spent much of my time worrying about my earnings, I found that my writing quality went down.
Money is a great motivator to get us started, but that is all. After it gets us to the starting line, we need to find the passion to keep going consistently. And that is why getting better at writing is a much better aim.
Making Writing Your Friend
I have found that making my writing my primary aim is beneficial. I now spend more time thinking about how I can create content that keeps my readers engaged.
When you focus on becoming a better writer, you begin to develop a relationship with your writing. It becomes your friend and the process to get you the money becomes more enjoyable.
