Although we often hear that we should have a growth mindset and not let things like rejection hold us back, these things often do. In the moment of rejection, we feel worthless and tend to believe we will never amount to anything.

Rejection is hard to deal with, especially when you feel like you deserve the opportunity from which you were declined. However, as a leader or entrepreneur trying to make a difference, rejection is something we must be used to.

There will be people who do not agree with the change you are trying to create in the world, and others will withhold you from the resources you need to make things happen.

Rejection Does Not Limit Our Potential, We Do

Funny enough, I was rejected from an opportunity to take part in a consultancy program for a big firm. I brought good expertise and could influence others in a positive way. However, I got the rejection email probably lots of people received, and I decided to never apply again.
