Producing Your Best Work

It can be difficult to find joy in your work. Especially when it is going to be presented to the masses.

Perfectionism is truly a curse. From the outside looking in, it can seem like a blessing. Being able to care about the details and putting in a lot of effort to make our work just right.

However, I find myself checking over things which have been checked already. Sometimes I even spend hours looking at the same thing just because it doesn’t feel right.

Today I felt the joy every perfectionist wants to feel. The feeling that their work is perfect. Whilst presenting a piece of work to my manager, I could see she was very pleased. She had a smile on her face and was ready to share my work across the company.

Normally after receiving the thankyou’s and well done, I tend to just move on to the next project without reflecting on the work completed. But this time, I took a step back and thought of the efforts used to produce the work.
