Although we all think in different ways, teaching children how to critically think is essential for their development. As it becomes easier to share views and ideas, learning how to critically think will be a valuable asset.

In this short, I will present three things that have helped me develop my critical thought.

Teach With Questions, Not Answers

Instead of stopping at the answer, I have found asking myself leading questions after the answer to be helpful. In doing so, I am able to delve deeper into the topic and generate my own ideas.

Therefore, ensuring that follow up questions to answers presented in classrooms are at hand will develop a student’s critical thought.

Build Environments That Encourage Creativity

Staying in stagnant environments reduces our desire to think outside the box and create. Critical thinking is all about thinking differently about the views around you whilst drawing on current ideas to form better ones.

Therefore, creating a space that encourages innovative thinking will be best for students in the future.

Inspire Students to Give Their Insights
