Life is one huge story. And although we tend to only have a few people interested in our own lives, we must still ensure that our stories are things we would like to read.

In this short, I highlight the importance of stories in our lives and how you can begin taking control over them.

Stories Are Who We Are

To appreciate the stories we tell ourselves, we must first acknowledge their importance in our lives. The whole world communicates through stories, and we tell people stories every day.

Stories are who we are, and people define us by our stories. So, if stories are pivotal to who we are and how we communicate, we should not be taking the stories we tell ourselves so lightly. However, we often do.

We are so quick to label ourselves as weak and tell ourselves stories that bring us down.

Stories Are Who We Can Become

The good thing about stories is that they do not need to only hold the present. They can also possess glimpses of hope for the future and silver linings in our past failings.

So, start taking control of your stories by telling yourself the whole story. Whether you are in a good or bad place, find the silver linings and…
