Thanks for reading and I appreciate your views!

I would like to firstly highlight the points where we certainly agree.

1. Education and school do not go hand in hand for everyone.

2. Education you believe is valuable will take you further than learning things you believe is pointless.

I do think that to truly grasp the value of knowledge and education, one must appreciate the depth of it. For many of us, surface-level understanding is fine, but that is why we also devalue it.

You mentioned learning Economics, Chemistry and all other subjects by yourself. This is an amazing achievement. However, without someone pursuing to delve deeper into these topics, you would never have the resources to do it.

My main point in this article is that education is both deep and wide. And for the most part, all we see is the surface of it. And for many of us, the surface is enough to teach us great skills and build companies or great careers.

However, if the surface of knowledge can do all of this for us, think about what deep knowledge can provide?

Institutions like schools and universities are infinitely valuable because they are built on what I believe to be invaluable, and that is knowledge.

And I do think a world with many people who are satisfied to use surface-level knowledge never going deeper will eventually run out of good ideas and human flourishing.

Wishing you the best on your journey and I really enjoyed hearing your point of view :)

Once again, thanks for reading!
