Thanks for sharing your views, Britni! I appreciate your understanding of life and death. I have friends who hold similar views to you, and we always enjoy going back and forth on wrestling with form and consciousness.

I think Socrates has to ultimately conclude that there is substance in nothing at all. Because everything that forms those right conditions must exist due to other right conditions, and the chain follows.

However, I do not believe anyone sees life like that. Nietzsche tried, but even he resulted to accept that life is about finding some MEANING in your suffering.

I do not think we can escape the desire to find meaning in all things, including ourselves. And whether biological and chemical processes are responsible for that, or an inner soul, there still appears to be a search for substance.

Anyway, I have just seen you wrote another article in response. I may just respond :)
