Thanks to advancements in healthcare, we can now expect better health in our older years. Unfortunately, economic pressures also mean that we will probably have to work well into our older years too.

So, what are some of the implications our ageing population could have on our society?

Its Effects on Productivity

Although there is research that the older population are less productive, there are no reasons as to why this trend is apparent. Also, there are a lot of contradicting studies in this area.

However, productivity appears to be a collaborative effort. That means that we need to learn to embrace the elderly in our society and collaborate with them to ensure better ideas for the future.

With a mix of both optimism and competence, the world can propel itself further.

Its Effects on Demand

Our ageing population will be more concerned with stability and health. Therefore, this could reduce ambition as people begin to care more about their retirement.
