As always, I spent the majority of my day collecting my thoughts. You never realise how much you’re thinking about until you try to not think of anything at all.

Whilst I was attempting to “not think”, I came across a small company. The description of the company was quite interesting. It had the goal to create content for young black people struggling with their finances.

I tend to be a little bit sceptical of these small finance advice companies. Many of them target a vulnerable audience and give quite poor or basic advice. Well, that has been my experience anyway. Nevertheless, I found myself on their youtube page, and to my surprise, it was a friend of mine who founded it.

The content looked interesting, and he appeared happy. He seemed to have found something he really enjoys. I interacted with his content and made sure to leave my words of encouragement. With no effort at all, I was able to sit down and enjoy him doing well. But then I had a thought.

I Can Never Do The Same For Myself

In that short 15–20 minutes, I experienced a lot of joy seeing my friend do well. He looked purpose-driven and full of energy in every video. You could tell it was his passion.
