The One Thing Leaders Need to Remember

In times of crisis, our global leaders are on display. For the most part, they are criticised for their failure to act accordingly and lack of ability to respond. In this short, I seek to highlight the importance of responding in times of crisis and acting in good times.

A Leaders Response

Leaders must remember that the way they respond to situations is pivotal to the way those under their leadership will view them. Their response highlights two things.

The first is the values that they hold. That is why when leaders respond in a way that is not representative of the collective, we are upset. The second is the ambitions they have. When we see ambitions playing out that is contrary to what we believe, we are also upset with our leaders.

Our global leaders are often quick to respond to crises but tend to hold values contrary to our own. Some of them claim to hold those values but do the opposite. And that is why many lose trust.

A Vision That Last

We do not want leaders that just show up in times of crisis. We need leaders that have goals that stand the test of time. We want leaders who have values that they represent in the good and bad times.
