The Passion of a Teacher

Whilst sitting in an online lecture today, I came across one of the most passionate teachers I have ever had. I am sure we have all add one teacher who truly loves what they do. It shows in their face and the way they explain concepts.

Today, this extremely passionate lecturer received some feedback from a student in the class. Due to virtual learning, it can be difficult for lecturers and students to communicate well.

Nevertheless, the feedback from the student went something like this: “You are talking too fast and you keep shouting.” To which the lecturer replied: “Oh wow! Thanks for the feedback. I did not realise I was shouting, I am just really passionate.”

He toned down after that. But I don’t know, for me, I think I preferred the shouting. I enjoyed listening to him explain concepts of physics and maths with such energy and conviction.

Shouting About Your Passion

It is rare to find a passion in the first place. Very few people find one. So, I believe that if you are fortunate enough to have one, you should be allowed to shout about it.
