Today we are spoilt for choice and everywhere we look we see duplicates of the same item slightly moderated per brand or shop. And we have the free market to thank for it. The reality is, no one wants to be stuck with the same thing because we enjoy a variety. The curiosity to try new things is developed from a young age. We see it in babies as they grow up, they put their hands in everything and go everywhere they can possibly go.
Although some of us are more adventurous and willing to try new things than others, we never really lose that natural curiosity inside us. However, building a society where having too many choices is the norm may not be to our advantage.
In fact, today shows us that having too many choices can often cloud our judgement and lead to bad decisions. Or worse, no decision at all.
