All we ever hear in the mainstream media are the big decisions. We never hear about how COVID-19 is affecting individuals and the courageous stories within the pandemic.
We see articles titled “Another 1000 Deaths Today”, and it is quite scary that has become the norm. It is almost as if human beings have become desensitized to death. We are quickly forgetting that every single death affects a friend, a family and a community.
I tend to remain optimistic and try not to complain too much. Mainly because I know that many others have it worse than I do. However, I would be doing an injustice as a writer if I did not tell you my story of how COVID-19 affected me today.
My Absence In A Time Of Need
One of my loved ones, who is medically vulnerable, received her call to get the vaccine. Unless you are living under a rock, you should have heard one or two conspiracy theories concerning this vaccine.
Some believe it is used to track us, whilst others think it is extremely unsafe. And many are still unsure if this vaccine will lead us out of the pandemic.
