We may have to agree to disagree on the algorithm 😂, but I have written articles on the problems within education before concerning the things you raise.

I was a poor black student coming from a single parent household. I do think education has a long way to come to help students who were just like me. So I 100% sympathise with what you are saying.

I guess there is a balance to be made and it is between standards and progress. The questions are should we keep standards and potentially delay progression? Or should we allow progression and drop standards?

There are disadvantages to both sides. But I think the UK has got it wrong twice. Once with the algorithm and second with inflated grades.

But thankyou so much for your support and I look forward to hearing more from you on my articles 😁.
