A lot of the time, we often feel like we are more productive on our own. However, when it comes to learning, we may be better off in groups. As an introvert, I used to always think that learning in a group would only distract me. However, I thought wrong.

Here are some of the benefits of learning in a group that is not often discussed.

Shared Benefit

When we are in a group, we do not only feel responsible for our results but also the results of others. Humans are pack animals. And we love to contribute to things we are passionate about.

Therefore, learning in a group makes you feel more valued. You will also feel motivated to go the extra mile for your team.

Enhanced Focus

You would think that learning in a group would be more distracting. However, we are pretty good at distracting ourselves when we are alone too. That is why you will find more self-help articles on focus when you are alone than in a group.

When in a group, you are forced to listen to others and pay more attention to the details. Therefore, your focus is a bit sharper, and you are more likely to learn effectively.
