Yes, I would agree that the current environment has caused us to take more risk, and considering millennials are young, they can get away with it.

However, I would also say another driver of this is the speculation and the ability to make a quick win. Young individuals are finding it harder and harder to delay gratification, and that is what it takes to invest in the stock market.

Slow and steady wins the race for most investing but crypto is different, making it more attractive than things like real estate.
